Problem: You installed Safari Plugins (VST3) but they don’t appear in Studio One.
Step 1: Open Plugin Locations
Open Studio One → Options → Locations → VST Plug-Ins.
Verify that the folder where Safari Plugins installed is listed:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\If the folder isn’t listed, click Add and select it.
Step 2: Rescan Plugins
In Locations → VST Plug-Ins, click:
Reset Blacklist
Remove Settings Cache
Click Scan at Startup or manually Start Scan to force a full rescan.
Restart Studio One and check if Safari Plugins appear in the Instruments/Effects browser.
Step 3: Clear Cache and Blacklist (Windows, VST3)
If the plugin still doesn’t appear:
Close Studio One
Open File Explorer and navigate to:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus\Studio One 6\x64\Delete the following files:
PluginBlacklist.settings→ removes the plugin blacklistPlugInScanner.log→ forces a full plugin rescan
Reopen Studio One. It will rebuild the plugin database and rescan all VST3 plugins.
Step 4: Verify Installation
Navigate to the plugin folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Confirm that the plugin files exist (.vst3).
If missing, reinstall Safari Plugins using the Windows installer.
Tips / Troubleshooting
Only VST3 is required for Studio One (VST2 and AU are not used).
Clearing the blacklist and cache usually fixes missing plugin issues.
Restart Studio One after rescanning.
Keep only the latest plugin versions to avoid conflicts.
